Linear

Connect Linear to create one issue per finding and keep it in sync with LaunchSafe both ways, comments included.

Connect

Owners and admins connect Linear under Integrations. LaunchSafe asks for read and write access, acting as an app, so issues and comments are LaunchSafe's. Then choose the team where issues are created.

Issues from findings

On a finding, choose Create Linear issue. A finding gets at most one issue per Linear connection. The issue carries the title, severity, proof, location, what could happen, how to fix it and a link back. Evidence is never sent to Linear. For a finding in a restricted project, LaunchSafe asks first, because everyone who can see that team will see the issue.

Kept in sync

  • LaunchSafe to Linear. A finding fixed or verified moves the issue to done with a comment. A finding found again moves it back. An accepted risk or false positive adds a comment.
  • Linear to LaunchSafe. Moving an issue to done queues a retest. It does not close the finding. Only a retest that finds it fixed does. Comments are synced both ways. Attachments are not.

Not available

Default project, labels or cycle settings, priority mapping and bulk creation are not available.

Disconnect

Disconnecting revokes LaunchSafe's token at Linear. Existing issues stay, marked as no longer synced.
