Create an Organization
How LaunchSafe organizes your work: organizations hold projects, members, integrations and billing, and members have one of six roles.
Organizations and projects
An organization is where your team works. Its short name appears in every address: app.launchsafe.com/{organization}/.... An organization holds:
- Projects, one per application. A project holds the repositories you scan, its findings, fixes and reports.
- Members and their roles.
- Integrations, domains, API keys, webhooks and billing.
Signing up creates your personal organization. You can rename it under Settings → Organization.
Roles
Every member has one of six roles.
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including billing, and deleting or transferring the organization |
| Admin | Everything except billing and deleting or transferring the organization: members, integrations, domains, API keys, approvals |
| Member | Create projects, run code scans, triage findings, request fixes and issue reports |
| Viewer | Read projects, scans, findings and reports |
| Auditor | Read projects, findings, reports and the audit log. Cannot change anything |
| Billing | See the plan, invoices and usage. Cannot see findings |
Inviting people
Today only the organization's owner invites, and invited people join as members. Go to Settings → Members. The invitation is an email with a link. Inviting admins and other roles is not available yet.
Not available yet
Removing members, changing a member's role, transferring ownership and deleting an organization are not available yet.
